Oceanarium Bournemouth

Located on Bournemouths seafront, the Oceanarium is a fun and educational all-weather attraction for all ages.

Taking visitors on a magical underwater journey, the Bournemouth Aquarium brings you face-to-face with thousands of amazing creatures above and below the waves including penguins, otters, turtles, sharks, and more! The walk-through tunnel display allows visitors to get up close to over 75 creatures.

Tickets are valid for the entire day of purchase so you can watch up to 4 feeding presentations.

Getting There:

• The Oceanarium is situated on Bournemouth seafront adjacent to Bournemouth Pier, a short walk from the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC).
• From the A338 Wessex Way, follow the tourist signs to Oceanarium, Pier, and beaches or BIC.
• The nearest pay and display car parks are located just a few minutes walk away from the Oceanarium: Bath Road South, Bath Road North, BH2 Centre car park, and the BIC car park.

Accessibility:

• The Oceanarium displays are situated on two floors with lift access, as well as stairs.
• Wide passageways are throughout the displays for ease of access.
• Disabled toilet facilities, the Offshore Café, and Cove gift shop are all located on the ground floor. 
• For blue parking badge holders, the nearest disabled car parking is available at Bath Road North and Bath Road South.

Dogs are not allowed into the Oceanarium unless they are ADUK-registered assistance dogs or guide dogs. Relevant documentation will need to be emailed to the Oceanarium prior to your visit at info@oceanarium.co.uk or presented on arrival.

The Oceanarium is a cashless attraction, so remember to bring a payment card with you on your visit if you do not have a pre-purchased ticket or wish to purchase anything from inside the aquarium. 

The Oceanarium is open daily from 10 am throughout the year, except Christmas Day although closing times may vary.
