Bournemouth & Poole College supports 2022 Careers and Apprenticeship Show

Bournemouth & Poole College will be supporting this year’s Careers and Apprenticeship show, taking place on 17th March at the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC).

As the largest provider of apprenticeships in the area, Bournemouth & Poole College has demonstrated its support this year by becoming an official partner and providing one of the largest presences at the event.

Matt Butcher, Commercial Director at Bournemouth & Poole College, said: “We have seen a huge spike in apprenticeship enrolments over the past year as they become an increasingly popular route into the workplace. We’ve been working hard for several years to update the perception of this education option and now that we’re firmly making headway, having a strong a presence at this year’s Careers and Apprenticeship show was very important to us. We are looking forward to meeting and helping to inspire the next generation of school leavers.”

Bournemouth & Poole College will be offering advice, guidance and talks on apprenticeships for attendees considering the first steps into their careers and has also provided marketing support for the event. Young people will also be able to apply for an apprenticeship at the show, with the support of College representatives.

The College works with over 700 employers through its apprenticeship scheme, many of which will be in attendance at this year’s Careers and Apprenticeship Show. The event is attended by approximately 100 employers in total across a wide range of sectors, to offer young people the opportunity to speak face-to-face to businesses and access the information they need to take the next steps in their careers.

Matt Butcher added: “We have very strong relationships with many local employers and are extremely grateful for our partnerships with some of the south’s leading businesses. We hope that many young people will enjoy the event and that it will play an integral part in informing their future plans.”
